About Avodahtec

Avodahtec is a multidisciplinary engineering and advisory firm dedicated to delivering business-centric solutions for sustainable, resilient infrastructure. We bridge the gap between high-level strategy and technical execution, integrating regulatory insight with hands-on delivery. From early investigation to final construction, our approach prioritizes constructability, risk management, and long-term asset performance.

Our Mission & Impact

We help communities build and renew vital infrastructure through efficient, value-driven engineering. At Avodahtec, sustainability isn’t just a buzzword; it’s embedded in our focus on extending asset life and supporting smarter capital investments.

Why Join Us?

You’ll join a collaborative team of innovators and technical experts committed to meaningful work. We operate with a culture of agility, excellence, and equity, ensuring every team member has the platform to make a measurable impact.

About the Role

We are seeking a Project Manager (Engineering-Focused) to play an integral leadership role in planning, coordinating, and delivering engineering and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate brings strong project management experience and technical understanding of engineering principles to ensure successful project outcomes across scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction. This hybrid role is suited to a proactive professional who excels at both technical coordination and stakeholder engagement.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate project planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery for engineering and infrastructure initiatives.
  • Proven experience in construction project management is required.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budgets, risks, and change control using best-practice project management methodologies.
  • Collaborate closely with technical teams (engineering, design, construction, HSE, and asset management) to ensure integrated delivery.
  • Support proposal development, resource planning, contract administration, and client communications.
  • Facilitate communication among clients, regulators, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Oversee project deliverables, including reports, schedules, budgets, design documentation, and technical correspondence.
  • Drive project meetings, status reporting, and performance tracking to meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Mentor and support junior staff in project coordination and documentation.

Experience

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in project management in an engineering, consulting, or infrastructure environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing medium to large-scale projects with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven ability to manage project financials, schedules, scope control, risk registers, and quality assurance.
  • Experience with municipal, civil, utility, or industrial infrastructure projects is considered an asset.
  • Experience in client management, contract administration, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Familiarity with engineering design workflows and construction support services.
  • Experience implementing project management systems, tools, and reporting frameworks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or related), Project Management, or a closely related technical field. A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is considered a strong asset.
  • Professional Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is required.
  • While a P.Eng. designation is preferred, we value deep technical expertise and a strong command of engineering processes. Candidates must be eligible for registration with APEGA and committed to obtaining their license within an agreed-upon timeframe.
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Smartsheet) and engineering tools.
  • Excellent communication, organization, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work setting.

Why Join Avodahtec?

  • Contribute to meaningful engineering and infrastructure projects that improve community resilience and functionality.
  • Be part of a values-driven, collaborative team that embraces innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Competitive compensation and flexible hybrid work model.
  • Opportunities for mentorship, professional growth, and leadership development.
  • Work in a culture that respects your ideas, initiative, and contributions.

  • Competitive base salary
  • Generous vacation and flexible benefits
